Academic Mentoring

Would you like help setting and prioritizing academic goals, establishing good study habits, learning effective time management skills, and maximizing your potential for college?

What is Academic Mentoring?

Through academic mentoring, you would be given the opportunity to work with a mentor for an entire semester to do just that. Your mentor would be intentionally chosen from Warner Pacific's staff and faculty, and paired with you for ongoing one-on-one meetings.

These individual meetings are available to help students strategize ways to achieve their academic goals (setting academic goals, establishing good study habits, developing time management strategies, and test taking, note taking, and other academic skills). Academic Success also provides resources to support classroom success.

Success Stories

I wanted to tell you that I got a peek at my grades: 3 As & 2 Bs! I will be on the honor roll. Thank you for all your help. Just having someone to talk to is a big help. Thank you. ~DB

I just wanted to say hi and thank you so much again; my grades have undergone yet another huge improvement (3.5)! I feel so much better about them. I know it is because of my own work, but I still would like to thank you for all of your help during my first semester. I needed, more than anything, to hop back onto the track I had fallen off of. Have a great summer and I hope to catch up with you again soon! Thanks again! ~GG

The weekly accountability sheets really helped me keep track of my time and how I was using it.  It was very helpful. ~MS
